About this Course
This course outlines the importance of health and safety in the workplace and the responsibilities of employees working in high risk environments. It will enable you to perform risk assessments for common hazards and implement safety measures to minimise those risks.
Effective health and safety management can potentially save a significant amount of money. Health and safety related accidents in the UK cost businesses tens of billions of pounds every year. Injuries and accidents can cause insurance premiums to rise and can even lead to litigation.
This course is aimed at managers and supervisors in the workplace, who are responsible for the safety of their staff. It covers the advanced principles of workplace health and safety that they need in order to meet legal requirements and the training needs of their employees. It can be used to train new staff or as part of the on-programme element of the new apprenticeship standards.
This course covers the knowledge aspect of the Level 3 Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Health and Safety qualification.
