About this Course
This course outlines the importance of health and safety in the workplace and the responsibilities of employees working in low-risk environments. You will learn to perform risk assessments for common hazards and implement safety measures to minimise those risks.
According to the HSE, an estimated 600,000 non-fatal workplace accidents occur in the UK each year. This incurs a huge cost on businesses. Improving health and safety training can significantly decrease the risk of injury.
This course is designed to provide an introduction to health and safety in the workplace for those working within a low-risk environment. It can be used to train new staff or as part of the on-programme element of the new apprenticeship standards.
This course is CPD accredited and entitles you to 5 CPD points. It covers the 8 key modules required to achieve an RQF level 1 Health and Safety qualification.
